Job Summary
Sundance Institute is seeking an Enterprise Engineering Manager to lead the development and management of in-house enterprise software, platform integrations, synchronization solutions, and custom automation. Working under the Director of Digital Engineering, this role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership, stakeholder collaboration, architecture, and software delivery management.
The manager will lead technical design for enterprise applications and integrations while working with platforms such as AWS, GitHub, Postman, Airtable, NetSuite SCA/SCIS, SurveyMonkey Apply, and ActiveCampaign. Responsibilities include designing API, webhook, and WebSocket integrations, building scalable serverless solutions, and developing relational and NoSQL database architectures.
The role includes mentoring and supporting junior and mid-level engineers, improving technical processes, and building strong relationships with teams across the Sundance Institute. Candidates should be comfortable working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue/Vite, Angular, Node.js, Python, PHP, WordPress, MongoDB, MySQL, and AWS services such as ECS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
Applicants should have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and at least 2 years managing software development lifecycles in a lead engineer, individual contributor, or management capacity.
The full-time position requires the candidate to be within commuting distance of Boulder, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Los Angeles, California; or New York, New York. The role may require extended hours during peak periods and occasional travel to Institute locations, events, and meetings.
The annual salary range is $100,000–$140,000, depending on geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Benefits include health, vision and dental insurance, 25 paid Institute holidays plus vacation, paid sick/family/medical leave, wellness programs, a 401(k) with a 3% automatic employer contribution after one year, and Sundance Film Festival benefits.
