The engineer will lead technical delivery and client relationships while helping maintain secure, high-performing digital platforms for nonprofits, campaigns, and socially conscious organizations.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining WordPress and other CMS-based websites, building front-end and back-end solutions, integrating APIs and CRMs, improving website performance and security, and resolving complex technical issues. The role also involves leading technical client discussions, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, coordinating project priorities, supporting CI/CD workflows, and contributing to project estimates, proposals, and long-term client growth.
Candidates need at least five years of web development experience, including two years in a client-facing agency role, along with demonstrated technical leadership or mentoring experience. Required technical skills include HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, PHP, Node.js, React.js, modern WordPress development, DevOps, CI/CD, responsive development, and Figma. Experience with accessibility, headless CMS architecture, AI-assisted workflows, and advocacy platforms is valuable.
