Job Summary
Cross Catholic Outreach is seeking a Web Developer to design, build, maintain, and support its web platforms and digital systems. Focuses on full-stack development, PHP/Laravel applications, WordPress, middleware, APIs, e-commerce systems, and technical operations that support fundraising and engagement.
The Web Developer will build and maintain WordPress sites, custom PHP/Laravel applications, middleware services, APIs, internal tools, and backend systems. Responsibilities include developing secure integrations between CRMs, fundraising systems, and marketing platforms, managing data flows and webhooks, troubleshooting production issues, and delivering applications from concept through deployment.
The role has a strong e-commerce and infrastructure component, including payment gateways, subscriptions, coupons, fraud checks, reconciliation, analytics, marketing tags, DNS, email deliverability, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, monitoring, backups, security, and performance. The developer will also support SharePoint Online and Power Apps projects and work with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js, React, or Vue.
Candidates should have 4–7 years of professional experience building and maintaining production web systems, with strong PHP skills and Laravel experience preferred. Experience with JavaScript frameworks, HTML/CSS, SQL/MySQL, Git/GitHub, automated testing, CI/CD, APIs, REST, web security, accessibility, SEO, cloud/server environments, and WordPress is expected. The role also requires strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.
The position requires alignment with Cross Catholic Outreach’s Christian mission and conduct expectations. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for meetings, training, conferences, or organizational events. The role may also involve standard office/computer work and occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.
