CAI is hiring a remote Lead Full Stack Developer to help create new software products from the ground up and guide a small offshore engineering team. The position combines hands-on development, technical leadership, client collaboration, and the practical use of AI-assisted development tools.

This is a full-time contract position with limited travel potentially required.

Location Requirements

Applicants should be based within reach of a CAI client office in one of these areas:

  • Central Florida, including Orlando, Tampa, Lakeland, Melbourne, or Daytona
  • Las Vegas
  • Denver area
  • Houston area

Candidates must have work authorization that does not require current or future sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and launch MVP applications using technologies such as Oracle/PLSQL, Azure, .NET, Angular, Python, APIs, and integration services.
  • Lead a small offshore development group and keep engineering work aligned with business objectives.
  • Work with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, shape user stories, and establish acceptance criteria.
  • Develop solutions across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
  • Apply AI-based tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
  • Recommend automation opportunities and approaches for reducing development effort and technical debt.
  • Provide technical guidance around architecture, development standards, risks, and future productization.
  • Help plan the move from an initial MVP to a larger enterprise implementation, including estimates, dependencies, team expansion, and technical planning.

Required Background

  • 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
  • 2+ years in a lead or senior technical leadership position.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, APIs, integrations, .NET, Python, and Azure.
  • Experience taking greenfield products or MVP concepts through development.
  • Knowledge of contemporary DevOps and CI/CD approaches.
  • Practical experience using AI tools for software engineering, testing, or technical documentation.

Additional Experience

Experience mentoring engineers, secure development practices, enterprise integration architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, or microservices is beneficial. Background in hospitality, travel, or resort technology is also a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $70–$75 per hour

Actual compensation can depend on factors such as location, education, and professional experience. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) access, along with applicable paid sick leave or other legally required time off.
