Role Summary
Bold+Beyond is looking for an experienced WordPress and Shopify Developer to join its growing consulting and digital agency. The role involves building technically strong, visually engaging e-commerce and marketing websites for clients across industries such as fashion, beauty, consumer products, outdoor products, and electronics.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple projects, and excited about creating modern digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside Shopify Plus and WordPress specialists, UX professionals, and designers.
- Build responsive and scalable front-end experiences based on design concepts.
- Develop custom Shopify and WordPress themes or enhance existing themes.
- Collaborate with project managers on feature requirements and technical scope.
- Support sales teams with technical input for prospective projects.
- Understand client business goals and translate them into effective web solutions.
- Troubleshoot development issues and maintain high-quality implementation standards.
- Contribute ideas that improve functionality, usability, and overall digital experiences.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience with WordPress and PHP; WordPress API or WP GraphQL experience is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience with Shopify Plus and Liquid.
- Strong experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and modern JavaScript tooling such as Babel/Webpack.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors including Sass or Less.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Nuxt, or Next.js.
- Experience with front-end animation libraries such as GSAP, Tween, or anime.js is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Pug/Jade templating is an advantage.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field is preferred.
